By Dr Art Lynch

Media Consolidation:

Concentration of media ownership (also known as media consolidation or media convergence) is a process whereby progressively fewer individuals or organizations control increasing shares of the mass media.

6 Corporations Control 90% Of The Media In America. Follow Business Insider: This infographic created by Jason at Frugal Dad shows that almost all media comes from the same six sources. That's consolidated from 50 companies back in 1983.

This means that most of US consumer spending on entertainment goes to these six companies. and more important editorial decisions and the key role of the Four Estate fall under an increasing low number of corporate entities.

Concentration of media ownership (also known as media consolidation or media convergence) is a process whereby progressively fewer individuals or organizations control increasing shares of the mass media.

But it is not limited to Mass Media. Distribution of both mass and one on one electronic media is controlled by those same companies plus three others. Tracking consumer movements and use of credit, private information and habits is not in the hands of a handful of companies. Plus only Apple has resisted government free access to all your electronic assisted habits and communications. These include but are not limited to: cell phones, laptops, desk computers, computer watches, keyboard strokes, pads, telephones, credit card use, anything you upload to the cloud, and much more.
